Last Dragon

I discovered a vampire tap—an archaic copper splitter—undermining my building’s network, recalling similar disruptions in Key West that caused stormy outages and forced reroutes; reluctant to pay exorbitant fees, I resolved to self-remedy with Raspberry Pi tools and modern apps akin to sci-fi tech, all to regain stable connection. Earlier, a retrieved performance report recalled a chaotic night averting a space crisis amid lockdown, tempered by personal health struggles reflected in tardiness and assessments, yet marked by resilience, leadership, and mission impact. At 0335, my posts, transferred periodically to Blogspot as per editorial suggestion, echo stoic reports, with parallel efforts by Coast Guard colleagues to clear my loved one’s name—her STEM advocacy a lasting legacy. A mysterious Coast Guard greeting reached me, inspiring gratitude and the image of “dragon vision”—guiding me through darkness like stars to lost travelers—though I wonder why I feel nocturnal like in college, wishing night owls peace and brighter days ahead. Finally, lexical anomia, a result of treatment since a 2009 collapse at Lackland, weaves a narrative of cognitive challenge and human connection: a trainee EMT’s gestures like my beloved’s, a nurse’s comfort, and chance encounters that reaffirm resilience amidst adversity, revealing a life navigating the fragile interplay of mind, memory, and unwavering resolve.
