Protect Others

There are currently 7 open cases under investigation, each varying in complexity. I'm not fond of being categorized as a victim; it seems to overlook the essence of survival and endurance inherent in such situations. Surviving isn't a static state but a continuous process, a series of actions that lead to a meaningful life. I envision a future where my remote work allows for a quieter existence, away from the hustle and bustle. Over my 40 years, I've moved often, each place a potential home filled with possibilities. However, certain pivotal moments have shaped my path, such as encouraging my child to return to her mother during a disagreement, a decision that later influenced strained relationships. Learning to compartmentalize information, a skill honed not just in the military but also through empathy, has been crucial in protecting others. Recently, discussions with my editors have revolved around making my account more personal again, avoiding the need for post-explanation. While some suggest stopping sharing altogether, the majority appreciate the depth and honesty in longer posts. I don't seek pity or sympathy but rather understanding that I am not a victim but a survivor, capable of helping others navigate their own challenges. This post serves to assure those concerned that I'm doing well and that the recent solar storm incident wasn't something I initiated but rather responded to, finding fascination in the experience.
